Personal experience has proven to me that this process can work. As with anything that affects our well-being, mental awareness and consciousness of the present moment are key components to the amount of success one will achieve.
"My understanding about breathing and healing is this:
Breathe in through your nose and breathe out very slowly through your mouth.
Feel the energy travel through your nose, go up to your crown chakra, to your neck, to your spine, and spread out through your body.
Imagine - breathe in light and breathe out energy that doesn’t belong to your true self.
Consciously release stress; feel the tension on your back and shoulders getting lighter and lighter through each inhalation and exhalation.
Do this repeatedly until you feel a sense of calmness grow within you. Hope that helps."
